  Client locks up when removing items from hold

This crash is pretty consistent. When in orbit, taking an item out of the ship's hold causes the client to lock up. There are also numerous other issues with the client locking up when in a spaceship. I've been having to use "commander" the text-only interface to issue commands (btw, planet maps currently don't display in commander, which is unfortunate for figuring out where to order a ship to hover over a specific part of a planet for mining ops). 

Commander works fine. It is only the UI that's been locking up.  Yes, I'm one of the odd ones using the Linux client. I ether see the client lock up, or I get a segmentation fault so something isn't right in the code.

  •  One to automatically set the face corners to the texture borders.

  2022-04-25 Solo Lag, Respawn Fail

Here are the most notable changes in this update.

Solo Lag
While playing the solo game, the movement of my guy was nice and smooth for awhile. Then it became extremely jittery and laggy. Restart seems to fix it for a little while but the lag always comes back.

This problem led me down quite a rabbit hole for several days. I eventually found the problem and it is fixed.

I found and fixed a few other minor issues along the way.

This bug has been the primary reason that I have not posted an update to Hazeron Starship. I will update that today.

Respawn Fail
Weird things happened when my tribal avatar died.

While playing solo I would respawn at the village lying on the ground writhing like a dying person.

While playing online, my avatar got stuck in a weird respawning state and I had to restart the game to clear it up.

I found and fixed a bug in the respawn code that caused a sync problem if you respawned when you were already on your respawn world.

Move Slower When Hurt
While enjoying the life of an indigenous tribesman I tried to stab an animal to death. It ran. I chased it, stabbing it whenever I could, until it finally died.

It occurred to me that an animal with lots of injuries probably shouldn't run at full speed. It might be a little easier to kill wild animals if they would slow down while you were cutting them to pieces. It is frustrating to stab an animal mostly to death, only to have it run off like a cheetah.

All creatures now move slower once their health drops below 50%. That is the level at which the health bar turns from green to amber. Speed drops off as health decreases further below 50%.

Flying creatures can no longer fly when their health drops below 50%.

Hi there!

I need some help to get these qt5 libraries installed.

I'm running Linux mint 19.1 Cinnamon. It's based on Ubuntu, so I used the Ubuntu Launcher Download.

But the game didn't start. It wrote an error, that it couldn't find the qt 5.15 libraries.
I found out, that I have installed qt 5.09 only.

I already tried to get the qt5-default and the other two libraries (given on the dowlnoad page) via synaptic. But they are not listed there.

How I can get the fitting libraries and from where?

When I tried to get qt5.15 from the developer website (qt.io), I didn't understand, how I could download anything from there and what exactly I needed.

I used an (maybe outdated) installer from this company. It installed the libraries and other stuff in one of the linux system folders.
But the game didn't start after that.

Somehow I messed with the qt5 libraries, by manually copying some of them between system folders.
Then it found the qt 5.15 libraries, but now stating this error:

qt.qpa.plugin: Could not find the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in ""
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

  Building Window Lights?

I have been trying to figure out how to set the color of window lights on buildings. I have changed opacity, Light-Lense color to the different presets, and even textures. But the windows seem to randomly pick a color from red to orange to bright white. I am trying to get them to be the mercury vapor color. Any advice would be most welcome.

  Offline Protection is Exploitable

I'd like to therefore remark that offline protection is at this point being employed to ensure that cities cannot be retaken ever by placing them into an always-offline alt empire, which has been employed against Syndicate (specifically our vassals) at this point and which I think is not good.

I am not opposed to protecting beginners, and would even say something like 2 months of invincibility in their home system they spawned in to get them started would be perfectly fine, but the current feature is basically just unpleasant.  You can imagine if someone takes your Q255 crystal system and then surrenders it to an empire that exists only to surrender cities to, then thats somewhat frustrating because it will never be seen again no matter what you do.  Well, to be clear you could give in to their demands, but there is literally nothing that can be done to fight back against that.  This happened to a vassal, not to Syndicate proper.

I feel like even if you don't like Syndicate you can agree thats kindof BS and that at the very least some kind of change is needed.

  missile size excessive

It looks like missile size is scaled on every dimension by the number of missiles launched.  This has unfortunate side effects, such as the following with large launchers:

This isn't really a bug per se, since it seems to work fine, but I suggest scaling the missile by the cube root of the number of missiles launched, as that is more mathematically/volumetrically correct and will limit how often this kind of thing happens.

  Request Transporter Room during beam up request

Feature Request: 

Add the ability to request what transporter station should complete the request when asking to beam up. 

Either pull the group name of the station or the ID, group name is a bit more friendly but either would work.

  Invisible Ship/Station Doors

Since the update yesterday, ship/station doors are no longer visible. Both in the editor's preview mode, as well as in universe.
I have tested with the following door states:
Open, Open-40, Open-70, Closed, Stuck-Open, Stuck-Closed, Locked-Open, Locked-Closed

The doors still function, when you are able to find the interaction box. They are just invisible.
