Ringworld
Ringworlds are ancient constructs from a civilization long past. They encircle their star in the habitable orbit zone and have multiple shade panels to provide a day and night cycle.
Rarity
Being that a ringworld can be a very powerful system to hold, they are quite rare. Here are the conditions for them.
- Habitable orbit zone 1.0au or less
- No companion star blocking the habitable orbit zone
- If the first 2 conditions are met, there is a 3% chance of a ringworld
As A Planet
Ringworlds are comprised of up to 20 arcs. Each arc acts as a planet, having 2 resource zones, and producing an officer. Resource zone population limit is 1'000.
There are 4 sizes, determined by orbital radius. All rings are the same width however.
Ring Radius | Number of arcs |
---|---|
0.25au | 5 |
0.5au | 10 |
0.75au | 15 |
1.0au | 20 |
Electricity
Ringworlds' unique machinery provides free electricity to all construction and manufacture jobs. It does however not supply enough to power to operate military weapon systems and military shield generators.
Star Gate
The ringworlds are not just gigantic artificial worlds, they also have the immense power to create artificial wormholes to anywhere in the universe.
