The hangar is able to store a spacecraft and its crew for later use.
This is mostly used to prevent decay of spacecraft that don't have an officer on board.
Spacecraft Storage
Each hangar can store one spacecraft for each avatar. If the hangar is bulldozed or decay, all the stored spacecraft are lost.
Mothball
In order to mothball a spacecraft, it must be rigged for repairs and not have an avatar or officer on board.
Launch
When taking a spacecraft out of a hangar, it appears in orbit directly above the hangar, or near there if the space is blocked by other spacecraft.
It is possible to take captain's berth on board the spacecraft upon launch using the checkbox.
To get onto the spacecraft, either use the Recall Home ability or use airport terminal's transporter if the spacecraft itself doesn't have transporters installed.
