Clothing factories make clothing, bags, and flags out of textiles and leather. Clothing is not a requirement for a species, but some may like the idea of not being nude.
With a bit of technology and the use of grav couplings it is possible to make a bag that negate gravity, making the art of carrying heavy items a lot easier.
