Exchange Designs
A player could not unpublish a design after they changed empires.

Architects always have access to their own designs now, regardless of publish terms. They can see them listed in the exchanges and they can use them to make buildings and spacecraft.

Buy Tools = Technology?
I issued a mission order to buy tools. The mission order and the officer say they are buying "Technology".

I set up a shipment of tools at a broker. It had a pistol for an icon.

Fixed a table of data that was broken during housecleaning at the reset.

University Graduate
When a university has a graduate ready to become an officer, it is not mentioned in the city report.

Fixed missing notification of university graduate ready for deployment as officer.

Officer Log Big Icons
I received a ship's log from an officer. Some of the icons in the mission orders list are too big.

Fixed icon size in mission order lists.

Star Map Glitch
When I select a system to look at, then zoom in all the way, it disappears.

Fixed near clip bug in star map.

Cryo Travellers Boarded
"5 cryo travellers boarded the ship. They were a mix of ." The message is incorrect. The roster shows 5 cryo travellers with a valid species.

Fixed error constructing cryo traveller boarding result message.

Uniform Color Selection
Male and female crew members choose different colors for their uniforms. The men wear blue and the women wear red. I am male and I like the red one. :/

Rearranged uniform color selections. When crew are boarded onto a ship, they equip themselves from the inventory of the town they are departing. Their first choice of clothing is a uniform, in the following order of preference.

Officer preferences: white, gold, grey, black, red, blue, teal, pink, orange, green, brown, grey bdu, khaki bdu, olive drab bdu.

Crew preferences: blue, red, teal, pink, black, grey, gold, white, orange, green, brown, khaki bdu, olive drab bdu, grey bdu.

Troop preferences: olive drab bdu, grey bdu, khaki bdu, brown, green, orange, red, blue, teal, pink, black, grey, gold, white.

Airport EV Suits
I needed a new EV suit in a toxic environment. I expected to find some at the airport terminal, seemed logical. There were none.

Airport terminals now import EV suits and helmets, just the basic ones. Military air terminals import all kinds of EV suits.

In the process of changing this, I noticed that military bases were not importing the Metal EV Suits; they were importing Metal EV Helmets and suits and helmets of all other materials, just not the metal suit. This was fixed.

Spacecraft Crushed By Atmosphere
I have been using the Basic Design with the ballistic turret to get my empire going. I landed on a planet and the ship was destroyed by high atmospheric pressure. It has a streamlined hull.

Fixed code that was inducing atmospheric damage on ships when the pressure was very high. It now only applies to unstreamlined spacecraft. Atmospheric streamlining (and stronger) is sufficient for all atmospheric pressures.

Atmospheric Pressure Damage
My avatar is damaged in high atmospheric pressure environments even though I am wearing an environment suit.

Fixed error testing for atmospheric pressure damage on avatar. The test was not checking for a suit.

Moon Helicopters
Buildings on a moon will fetch helicopters. :/

Buildings will no longer fetch helicopters if the air pressure at their location is too low for a helicopter to fly. It is possible that buildings in biodomes will import helicopters.

  [Crash] Consistent Starmap Crash

Interacting with the dock/float button with the starmap screen while the screen is open, specifically when the screen has its size modified results in a consistent crash or artifacting of the starmap textures and eventually crashing. Very repeatable.

  Spacecraft Designer - Extremely long calculations, memory leaks, crashing, oh my!

I'm relatively new to the designer but I've spoken with some more experienced players and this is not just something I am alone in experiencing! Sorry if this is a bit much, trying to jot down all that I can think of before I head to bed.

So three main things:

1) Extremely long calculations - It takes a very large amount of time to complete the 'refresh obstructions' phase of design, is there anything that can be done to optimize that?
The design process of wondering what the volume is going to be, pressing refresh obstructions and hoping it doesn't crash, exiting the game when it does, scaling down, repeating doesn't make much sense to me.

Suggestion: optimizations aside, maybe the volume calculation could be made separate from the 'obstructions' calculation, so that we don't have to run the latter unless we are satisfied with the volume? Having that information available to us before running 'refresh obstructions' would take much of the guesswork out of designing and make it much less painful on us and our computers.

2) Memory leaks - I have been trying to run a calculation for a larger (low poly) design and it consistently runs leaking memory until the full 16gb of my system is used up. The design is large, but I have seen larger in game and I don't really know why it isn't working for me. Is 16gb not enough for this task? Or is it a memory leak? If it isn't perhaps something can be done so that players with less than 32 gb are capable of producing larger designs.

This ultimately results in...

3) Crashing. The program hangs when doing the refresh obstructions phase, taking up more and more memory, and more often than not I find the cancel button does not work. If you don't save your work beforehand there is a good chance you'll lose it. Especially if 2) happens, which it has done every time for me with a particular design unless I scale it down significantly.

Going off my suggestion from earlier, a separate volume calculation and obstruction calculation could be useful here. Let players know when the design is too big before they run 'refresh obstructions'.

Ultimately though, the memory leak and crashing issues are pretty severe and I just felt the need to make this! Feel free to chime in with your own experiences. Are more people experiencing this? Suggestions?

Server Update
The sync changes caused serious trouble on the servers.

The servers appear to be stable again.

An inexplicable random crash was introduced by the sync changes. It was one of those that corrupts some data that results in a crash later, very difficult to find.

It took over my whole world last week. Various solutions were attempted. The update on Friday appeared to eliminate the random crash but it was replaced by a random deadlock instead.

We had a lot to do this weekend. I could do little more than check on the servers periodically and restart the ones that locked.

The storm ended. Servers finally stopped crashing and deadlocking yesterday. What a battle, hard to describe.

Updated clients are building as I write this. The current client is still compatible with the server. The client updates will be posted as they finish building.

Big Flags
Flags on buildings are sized incorrectly if they exceed 64x64 pixels.

Updated flag rendering code to be immune to flag dimensions. Client update is required for this fix.

  Gen IV designer problem

Heya, I can't seem to get the hair modifications to stick. Color, removing them, any changes at all. Everything looks fine after pressing 'ok' but if I try to use that race, or reload it after saving, the hair reverts to whatever the default is.

I entered a new solar system with while exploring... and entered the system alone on the bottom of the ocean of the outer world. Recalling replaced me there, and switching characters then coming back did not fix my recall.

I ended up being killed by lobstermen while calling my (apparently perfectly fine) ship to my location. Upon being killed by the lobsters I appeared in my berth as normal and promptly left that solar system.

  COMM ISSUES

Have not been able to order any of my ships to go some place using Fleet comm. All ships do have Officers and will follow orders when I'm on board. Ships will not follow any order from Fleet Comm and they do respond to my fleet hails and show up in comm channel and I do select  a ship in comm channel to send orders to.

Logged in after bug fix today and found 2 of my ships in orbit around a moon by my main planet.(I was birthed on one of the ships. Both ships were parked at airport in main city before shut down.) took first ship back to airport. Hailed second ship and took a birth then hit recall. It put me back where i was standing at recall so I released birth and took it back and hit recall and it put me on moon the ship was orbiting so i used ship transporter to get back in ship. Lag has been bad in this system most of the week.

  Deadhead issues.

During deadheading scene transitions, certain issues in certain systems seem to arise. This might end up vague but I'll do the best I can. There are times where I would start randomly dying of vacuum, regardless of EV suit or not. I'll teleport to the centre of a star or black hole, or to my home berth off-ship. sometimes I get struck by the ship while aboard the ship. And it'll happen 2 to 4 times in a row before resolving itself or getting stuck and at least stop the senseless killing. And after server restarts I find myself floating in space, recalling just puts me in the same spot and I have to release berth, recall home and request the berth aboard the ship again and recall once more to get back. *deep breath*

Edit: Nothing seems to happen to the ship, its contents or its crew. Just my avatar
