Harvesters was an Empire created by members of Stellar Syndicate and lore-wise was a group of sentient beings who "integrated the biomass of any empire they found into themselves". This involved completely destroying the empire, before performing "bio-harvesting". This also involved multiple forum posts where threats against other empires and bio-harvesting status was reported, alongside encrypted "priority data streams". According to Staines of Stellar Syndicate, Harvesters' true purpose was to demonstrate a game exploit to Haxus, to instigate a fix.
The flagship of Harvesters was called the Scrith Mothership. This was extremely powerful and destroyed many ships within minutes of being brought into battle. As a result, the ship was reported to a game agent and a temporary ceasefire was called until the ship had finished being inspected for exploits. The agent found nothing problematic, and informed the other side to improve their ships.
2013 Invasion
On Thursday, February 21 a forum user named Ferral made a post on the Hazeron forums about an empire called Harvesters having attacked them[1]. The victim posted their coordinates on the Hazeron Forums in an attempt to get people to help him. A few days later Long Shot also cried out for help. In response to that, some empires decided to help out the empires getting attacked.[2]
