The arena is able to simulate spacecraft battles.
Morale
One arena is required for every 175 population in a city in order to avoid morale penalties.
Arena Battle Simulation
Simulated spacecraft battles in the arena can be either single-avatar battle against an AI opponent, or against other avatars.
Nothing is lost in the arena, all equipment and items are restored apron exiting the arena instance. It is however possible to gain reputation in the arena.
Spacecraft Trial
A spacecraft trial is a fight against a NPC controlled enemy spacecraft.
This means that it is the prefect place to test the combat powers of any spacecraft designs.
The enemy spacecraft design is chosen the same way as pirate encounters.
Spacecraft Duel
A spacecraft duel is a fight against another avatar or a group of avatars.
When joining an arena match, it is possible to select which of the two teams to join and thereby possible to make pure player vs player commanded ship battles if so desired.
