Water can be harvested from a water sea using treatment plants, or from the underground using wells. However the most efficient way to produce water is from ice.

The most common use for water is to irrigate farms and orchards on worlds without water in the environment. Another common use for water is to convert it into air and hydrogen, making self-sufficient cities on atmosphere-less worlds much easier.
