EV suits and helmets storage at airports (too large)

#1
We really like the idea of having EV suit storage at Airports, but there is no setting limiting the storage of various airport commodities.
For example, most would agree that Fuel should simply fill to max capacity, but that same number of units for space suits is too much.   Perhaps  the armory production limit could equal the suit storage limit at airports?     We just don't have a need for over 100,000 EV Suits and Helmets at each airport.

In case you weren't aware, if a building's storage capacity is say, 100,000, that means it has space for 100,000 of EACH commodity.

Even if it has 100,000 EV suits in storage, those EV suits won't take up any storage slots for other items. You can in theory have 100,000 of every item type filling up a building.

You are correct.

I think the issue reported here is about being unable to keep a tiny stockpile of EV suits. If you set a stock limit at the factory, the airport will keep taking it causing the factory to make way more than the stock limit.

If you don't have infinite resources and materials, I can see this being at issue. You can solve it by just only building airports with a tiny commodity storage though.

But in most cases you will have infinite resources and therefore have infinite materials, which would mean that this is mainly a non-issue.

As Anr used to say: overproduce everything, if you are low on resources you simply have to harvest more.

In SoH, resources are infinite. If you are low on supply, you're doing something wrong.

Of course, this doesn't mean you should not design your buildings for purpose. If you want a small stock of necessary commodity at airport, do that.
