Account

An active account is required to play Shores of Hazeron. It is however recommended to ensure that the game client will run on your hardware before making an account. This can be done by downloading the Shores of Hazeron Launcher from the website and running the Primeval World tech demo which does not require an account.

An account is also not required for the offline Designer.

Account Creation

A game account is created on the main website, on the "Accounts" page.

The email address is not unique, multiple accounts can have the same email address.

Issues related to accounts should be e-mailed directly to Haxus.

Security Tips

• Choose an account name that is not related to your online name or forum username.
• Choose a strong password, using both letters and numbers.
• Ensure that your e-mail address is secure and always accessible.
• Don't share your account name, password, or e-mail with anyone.

Forum Account

The game accounts are not connected to the forum accounts, so you will have to make an account both places.

This has the added bonus of letting you use an account name for your game account that is never seen by anyone else. The name of your forum account is automatically used as your user name, so everyone will see that. It is recommended to not use the same account name both places if possible.

Security Question

Registering on the forum requires you to answer a security question. This is to prevent spambots. The answer to the question is the current client's version number, which can be seen in the background of the client's login screen.

Example version number: 6e12

If an update was recently released, the security question might not have been updated, in this case it is possible to try and guess one of the previous version numbers as follows: 6e11, 6e10, 6e9, etc.
