Syndicate
First Republic (April 2012 - December 2013) - Syndicate was formed in April 2012 as an experiment on player cooperation. The aim was to get as many players as possible to work together as a single empire. Players from many older empires such as Rik'Tan, Tresnoth, PTMC, Tymas Confederation, Shin Sekai and Altaran eventually joined Syndicate or the West Galactic Federation alliance. Many of these empires were former enemies of each other. Syndicate built their empire in the main cluster between April-August 2012 before completely relocating their empire to the west of the galaxy, where they were located between August-December 2012. During this period they also founded the West Galactic Federation. The empire took part in all 4 wars brought about by its involvement in the West Galactic Federation, proving to be useful members of the alliance. Syndicate took a step back from the game in December 2012, eventually making the decision to go into hibernation in 1st January 2013 to wait for bug fixes and feature development.
Second Republic (July 2013 - December 2013) - Syndicate again returned in mid-2013 in another iteration combining many previous West Galactic Federation empires under the single unified flag of Stellar Syndicate. The Second Republic of 2013 was marked by an increased willingness to meddle in other empires' affairs, and a more aggressive foreign policy. Throughout all of 2013 there was continued war with anti-Syndicate forces from many different sources in the galaxy, including a dedicated anti-Syndicate coalition that was set up to end Syndicate dominance of the galaxy. This coalition ultimately failed, and as the universe drew to a close at the end of 2013, Syndicate was officially crowned the victors of the Third Universe by Haxus, capping off a good 2 years of third universe war and politics.
Third Republic (January 2014 - August 2014) - Syndicate took a step back from the game at at the start of the 4th Universe, preferring to wait a couple of months before getting too involved in the development of galactic affairs. One traditional problem with Syndicate is that it is too effective as an empire, and frequently runs out of serious opposition due to its political and military potency. With the fabled ship updated planned to be rolled out around April, and the continued existence of several game issues, bugs and exploits, it was thought better to only maintain a token presence in the game in order to supply Haxus with bug reports and test data. Unfortunately, the game was shut down in August 2014 before Syndicate felt the need to return to the game, maintaining a rather token presence in this universe.
Fourth Republic (February 2015 Onwards) - Syndicate returned to the game in 2015 with the relaunch of the Pay to Play Hazeron. On the first day of the universe Syndicate declared a 3x3x3 territory zone, claiming approximately 5% of the playable space available at the launch of Universe 5. This resulted in the forceful recruitment, relocation or destruction of many empires within this region - through various means and political deals this territory zone was finally secured completely on week 2 of the universe. On March 10th, Jack Katogh stepped down as President due to work commmitments, with Staines taking the position of Vice President, under President NumberZero. After two very rapid wars with Get Out and the French Empire, two of the other major powers in the universe, Syndicate embarked on a campaign to vassalise the entire galaxy under Syndicate, becoming an Empire of a Thousand Worlds in 5 days, with almost 600,000 Loyal Citizens. By April 20th, Syndicate had over 1,000,000 loyal citizens under its banner, with over 1800 worlds - of which 350,000LC were Syndicate. This was the first time in Hazeron history that an empire had a combined total over over one million loyal citizens.
Structure
Syndicate is foremost a meritocratic republic. Although it does not have democratic elections, Presidential positions change fairly often depending on who is best suited to lead the Empire. The current President of Syndicate is NumberZero, backed up by Vice President Staines. All members of Syndicate are highly regarded, but those who contribute the most are given the most responsibility and trust. Syndicate is generally very accepting and friendly to new recruits, but tends to cherry pick only the best players, preferring to recruit former emperors and veterans, including those of former enemies. The original founder of Syndicate is Staines.
The minimum block of territory that a member in Syndicate can hold is a Sector. This streamlines and simplifies administration and abandonment concerns to make things as easy as possible for the empire and for the players. Members are encouraged to make their Sectors as productive as possible, by fully exploiting all potential officers and resources in their Sector, as well as setting up their own personal capital/shipyard system for research and fleet management. Members are asked to donate officers to the official imperial warfleet of Syndicate.
Wars
The Empire has a long history of going to war with empires that partake in noobstomping. Even before the WGF period, Syndicate had helped out many beleaguered noob empires who had requested assistance against their attackers. Stellar Syndicate would often enter long-term conflicts and end them within hours of their arrival in theater. Several noob empires were liberated and many of their players decided to join Syndicate. Syndicate also has a policy of attempting to recruit their defeated enemies into the Empire so they may continue playing with an expansive and friendly community instead of languishing in the corners of the galaxy plotting revenge. If you find yourself under attack by an enemy you have done nothing to provoke, it is worth appealing to Syndicate to intervene. They may do this economically, militarily or diplomatically.
As of 2014, Syndicate has a history of being one of, if not the foremost military powers in the universe.

After a very quick war in which Syndicate secured Imperial Courts single system and liberated Shin Sekai's system in a matter of hours, Shin Sekai's 3 members decided to join Syndicate. He later joined West Galactic Federation/Syndicate.

Apollo Empire declined repeated requests to end hostilities and cease stomping on new players. The war was quick, with Syndicate dropping off TL32 laser tech at Many Legs Empire to secure their space before launching an attack on the Apollo home system. Meanwhile, Many Legs Empire chased off an enemy ship in their home system using a fighter. After this, Apollo Empire simply lost the will to fight and collapsed, despite having other systems left.
Result: Apollo destroyed. Many Legs Empire liberated.

Ships were quickly dispatched to take their system, which was a quick and bloody affair. Soon after the capture of Smett's system he surrendered. Server rollbacks and outages slowed down Syndicate's response. Smetts was then kill on sight for the future.
Result: Sith Empire destroyed. Vendetta engaged.
WGF/KE Coalition - Vaygr Skirmish
October 10 2012
Summary: WGF, Klingon Empire and Empire Rocket action against Vaygr
Klingon Empire put together a coalition and attempted to spearhead an attack on Vaygr (notorious noobstompers), in collaboration Empire Rocket and WGF. Klingon Empire agreed to a cease fire just hours later as Vaygr forces inflicted heavy damage on KE colonies using the Genocide Exploit. WGF forces from Altaran/Syndicate skirmished with Vaygr in their western colonies, destroying several Vaygr ships and capturing a couple of cities temporarily. After Klingon Empire and Rocket surrendered, the WGF skirmishes were stopped due to Vaygr being too large to be captured in a reasonable amount of time without Klingon/Rocket manpower. WGF has never officially agreed to a cease fire with Vaygr.
Result: Indecisive/Hostile in West. Vaygr victory in the East.

Empire Rocket also joined the in on the side of the Klingon Alliance. Most of the fighting took place in the first 4 days, where very heavy losses were inflicted on the Alliance by the WGF. Several minor alliance members were occupied or destroyed in the first 2 days, followed by a complete WGF victory in the galactic core against the Klingon Empire and Empire Rocket. Empire Rockets leadership imploded. Rumia was destroyed. Peace terms were offered and agreed to on Day 7.
Result: Decisive WGF Victory. 50% Alliance territory destroyed/captured. Treaty Accepted.
WGF - Zarh Empire Gunboat Diplomacy
November 9 2012 - November 10 2012
Summary: WGF initiates Gunboat Diplomacy to liberate the Selenian Frontier.
The Zarh Empire, attacks and occupies an active newbie empire, Selenian Frontier, in their sector. Selenian Frontier appeals for help and West Galactic Federation decides to help them out due to Syndicate's standing policy to hunt down "noobstompers". West Galactic Federation quickly declares war and the Zarh Empire calls for a cease fire almost immediately. Selenian Frontier territory is handed back and they begin working out a deal which is acceptable to both empires. No shots were fired by West Galactic Federation - the threat alone was sufficient to resolve the situation.
Result: Peacefully resolved.
Stark Empire - Syndicate Skirmish
November 9 2012 - November 10 2012
Summary: Stark Empire attacks and occupies one of the systems taken by Syndicate in the 7 Day War.
Stark Empire attacks and occupies the Deep Crow system. West Galactic Federation sends a ship to respond, retaking the city. Stark Empire then retakes it overnight. West Galactic Federation once again retakes the city, only for Star Empire to capture it again an hour later. West Galactic Federation again retakes the city - building laser towers. An enemy ship was detected entering the system, so Syndicate retreated their unarmed transport and brought in a warship. The transport had already scared the enemy ship away, but it came back again just as Syndicate's warship arrived. The enemy ship was not warp capable, so what followed was a 1 hour Lightspeed chase between Stark and the West Galactic Federation, with West Galactic Federation using short warp bursts in order to close the range. West Galactic Federation got some shots off in deepspace - but didn't do critical damage to the enemy ship. Eventually both ships arrived in an unnamed solar system and a lightspeed dogfight ensued, eventually resulting in the enemy "heavy cruiser" crashing into the star. The enemy did not retake the system afterwards, due to losing their only serious warship.
After a discussion with Stark Empire it was worked out to be a misunderstanding. The system was handed over to Stark Empire, since it belonged to them before Rumia captured it, after which Syndicate took it from Rumia.
Result: System returned to Stark.
Toucan War of Independence
February 3 2013 - February 10 2013
Summary: Syndicate/West Galactic Federation forces help The Toucan Empire restablish its independence from Klingon Empire.
Toucan Empire declares its independence. Immediately, the Klingon Empire announces its intention to squash the reforming empire. Toucannite space is given back to them generously by Empire Rocket, giving them the ancient and well known systems of Angus' Ring and Dyadic Paragon. A low intensity war begins with Klingon Empire. WGF/Toucan forces destroy an enemy fleet of around 13 ships, with 2 motherships, around a Klingon planet. This was thought to be the closest and largest fleet to Klingon space. Soon after, it was discovered that many of the ships had been involved in an attempt to disable them by their own owners, in order to deny the leader of Klingon Empire the chance to use them against Toucan. Apparently the citizens of Klingon Empire did not want a war with Toucan. They were contacted, and a plan was formulated to split the empire in two.
Meanwhile, West Galactic Federation/Toucan forces headed to the suspected location of the new Klingon capital, hidden in deep space 30 sectors from the main cluster. The intel was correct and the Klingon capital was destroyed, along with some merchant shipping. The Toucans waited. Terra Nova then Split from Klingon, taking all of the active members, and leaving Klingon with no space, and only one active member. The brief skirmish with the Klingons was over, and Toucan had firmly established their existence in the galaxy again.
Result: Dissolution of Klingon Empire. Reformation of Toucan Empire.
Syndicate - FUS War
October/November 2013 - End of the Third Universe
Summary: Counter-Terrorism Operation
Numerous empires and players aligned themselves with the 'Fuck Up Syndicate' coalition, a group dedicated to either ending Syndicate dominance, or bringing down Syndicate all together. After Syndicate learned of this plot, numerous empires were threatened or destroyed due to their involvement. In the end, no harm was inflicted on Syndicate, but many FUS associates had their empires completely razed by Syndicate forces in order to sow fear and intimidation. Several members of FUS still hold grudges to this day, due to what could be considered a disproportionately hostile response to such a small and relatively harmless fledgling alliance.
Result: Security Maintained
Universe 5
Syndicate Territory Annexation
Start of the Fifth Universe, Feb 16th 2015 - March 2nd 2015
Summary: Establishing Syndicate Borders
Syndicate declares a 3x3x3 territorial claim zone around the Syndicate Sector. On the first day, Kalmar Confederation is attacked and recruited into Syndicate, becoming an extremely productive region of Syndicate space. Over a period of two weeks, several empires are removed from this declared Syndicate territory through recruitment, relocation or conquest. Several empires violated Syndicate territory during this time and had their ships destroyed by smaller, swifter more high tech Syndicate ships. Federation of Z refuses to surrender their cities to Syndicate, eventually surrendering them to pirates. Syndicate captures the cities and then pursues and punishes Federation of Z.
Result: Syndicate Territory Established

Within 24 hours the PAAA home systems had been located and their heavily fortified cities completely leveled from orbit, bringing accusations of cowardice from PAAA - followed by an accusation of DDOS attacks and threats of "real life repercussions". PAAA systems were located and destroyed time and time again, with several empires posting their amusement at PAAA's statements. Syndicate unilaterally disengaged the conflict with PAAA around March 2nd.

Result: Coalition Victory
Syndicate/Rome - French Empire War
March 20th 215
Summary: Syndicate invades the war weary French Empire
Syndicate moved in and invaded the French Empire, who were tired and war weary from fighting Rome for over a month since the beginning of the universe. This was in response to the rapidly rising population of the French Empire threatening to eclipse the Syndicate if action wasn't taken, either in the form of colonisation or war. The resulting war was quick, and the tired and demoralised French Empire called for a cease fire almost immediately. A few days later, a peace agreement was finally reached, temporarily limiting the French Empire population, and granting Rome control of a large portion of French Empire space.
Result: Syndicate/Rome Victory

Syndicate suffered major losses but the war ended in Syndicate victory when Shaggy and Zensras went full-on commando to bomb the main military city of Kamoa and steal a ship used in the defense of the ringworld.
Subjugation of Universe 6 and the end of Shores Of Hazeron (MMO) with Universe 6
After the war of Kamoa ended with all known systems being captured, Syndicate and Emerald became to enforce a subjugation of one of the more popular spawn clusters in Universe 6 by forcing empires to ally with Syndicate or be removed.
