Weltreich was and is one of the top empires of Universe 5. Founded in 2011, it played a minor role in universes 3 and 4, before starting a dramatic expansion in population, resources, and capabilities with its return on December 12, 2016. By September 17th, 2017, Weltreich had reached the top position on the leaderboards, soon surpassing the next highest ranked empire's loyal population by over 200%.
