Agents worked as game masters and moderators in the Shores of Hazeron game. They helped players when they were having issues. To do this they had access to some extra abilities and powers. For example, they could teleport to any avatar in the universe. However, as of the shutdown of Shores of Hazeron and due to Hazeron Starship being singleplayer, agents were no longer needed.
Agents could be identified by the 
agent icon on the Avatars Online window's list.
Haxus is also considered an agent.
