Crew sometimes travel directly under wormhole orders

Sometimes in Starship, the crew of a ship will randomly decide to travel directly to a destination system despite the orders stating "Travel via wormholes".

I hope this can get fixed soon, because it's very inconvenient for long wormhole trips, will try to provide a save file next time it occurs

Sometimes in Starship,

This was an issue in the MMO too. It seems mostly random.
It has been hard to reproduce the issue in the past, but maybe it will be easier with the save-games we have now.

There must be old bug reports about this issue, but I can't remember any.

Common theory have been that it has to do with wormholes being blocked by other celestial bodies, but as far as I know that should make the crew mention that in the crew channel.
Another common theory has been the idea of "missing wormholes". Basically a wormhole that should be there simply isn't, basically a one-way wormhole. I remember seeing such one-way wormholes a couple years back, but I forget the details.

Just checked this, went in through a positive WH and came out the other end from a negative one. There's definitely a path back, and it's a two-way obviously
I've gone to and from that system using the same wormholes many times too
