World gone after long downtime

#1
Not sure if this is the place to put this, but my world was seemingly destroyed by an asteroid while the server was down. It was not supposed to hit for another 10 hours and I was in the process of arming my ship when the server went down. not sure if anything can be done, but it would sure be nice to have my only habitable planet back since i had everything in place except for ammo in the tubes.

There are three avatars with the name Alpha Nerd, two of which came into existence last week.

The first was created 2020-09-25 00:20 GMT, the other five minutes after.
Time is right now 2020-10-02 16:27 GMT, so the asteroid should have probably impacted you 16 hours ago, assuming you didn't adjust the impact time during avatar creation that is. But even if you had adjusted it to the latest possible time, it would have still impacted 4 hours ago.

Ah. I did adjust the time until the next day. I figured that it would be a 24 adjust. If not my bad. However still sucks i had just finished my ship and was about to buy ammo when the server went down.

The issue is that the observatory doesn't report when the asteroid is coming like it should. This has been bugged since the start of the sixth universe I think.
This means there is no replacement for the stargazer, and few players seem to actually locate the stargazer reliably after the founding of a city. So many players forget or don't know the actual impact date of the asteroid.

Allowing a wide range of time to pick from for the asteroid impact date, for example between 7 and 14 days instead of the current 7 days ±12 hours, could also make it somewhat better.

Ilike the asteroid idea myself and gave myself a 24 hour (my guess) or a 12 hour blanket (actual time before impact) and thought that was plenty. But it just so happend the server went down inbetween the time it took for my ship to build and for me to arm it and was down the whole time. Just had luck on my part i guess.

I also think it should give a time from now in days/hours rather than a datetime. (which requires you to convert to your timezone)
