Asteroid Belts cause huge performance issues

I wonder, what's your own count?
I get consistent 4-7 FPS from client running on the surface of planet. Standing in village next to campfire.

Standing in the starter village by the campfire, the in-game FPS counter shows 59-60 for me. So I don't know what you might be seeing.

Gen3 or Gen4 creatures?
Otherwise virgin world?
Any special things in the solar system?

Gen3, yes, no other buildings.
There's a ring 'round the planet as far as I can see.
Not much else.

I would still like to see some more data points. I have not had this kind of issues at the worst times of the old Hazeron. The game may have been laggy, but FPS never dropped below 30.

What are your specs Anr?, literally sounds like you're using a potato or you're not using your real graphics card and are using a 2005 iGPU

I also have 60 or 120 FPS depending on where I am in game. According to the in-game FPS counter anyway.

So I would love to know what the solar system map looked like in that system with all the lag.
But this thread was a while ago now, so don't know if it exist anymore or if the issue is even still happening.
