On weapon fire:

If you have Ship A with shields, and Ship B shooting at ship A, and ship B has a weapon with an emitter peeking into the shield bubble of ship A, do shields block based on emitter location or based on ship location?

Emitter location.

After some testing, I removed the destabilization of shields due to critical hits. It didn't feel right.

To clarify: knocking down shields still disables them for 10 seconds, but critical hits no longer extend the disability? Or there's no disabling at all?

Pretty sure he means the former.

Might also be for the best. Critical hits aren't that rare, even more so if we think of ships with many weapons and/or fast fire rate.
