It was reported that the distribution of quality throughout the universe is not a bell curve, as claimed in the documentation.
Quality of resources is now distributed using a standard distribution. The mean is 128 and the standard deviation is 42.3333333. That puts the probability of Q255 at 1:10000, or 3 sigma. This increases the probability over the previous distribution, in which the probability of Q255 was 1:16384.
Imo that's not a good idea. Admitting an average system have 5 planets and 5 moons, we got 20 zones (5*3 + 5). Also, we have more or less 30 ressources per zone (including food), that mean you had 1 of 16384/(20*30) = 27.3 to get at least one Q255 ressource on this average system, and now 1 of 10000/(20*30) = 16.6.
This is not probs for Q>250 but only Q255, and actually, even before this reduced prob, most of system actually could produce almost most of ressources Q>200, without having to explore or expand.
Since TL gone and Q isn't scaled to the lowest quality in recipe but is an average quality, Q>150 should be a treasure (one every 2-3 systems), Q>200 should be exceptional (one every 10-20 systems) and Q>250 should be ringwolrd-like.
Also, we should have a way to remove fog on planet, idk, a graphical option or an X-Ray device, because we can't see anything on many planets.
Everything else in this changelog is really great, especially the more realistic spacing/size/name of planets, moons.
