Hailing in fleet channel doesn't open ship channels anymore (apart from in-system ships), nor do ships reply in the fleet channel, their replies are however visible onscreen.
probably related to the fact that ship channels now open when hailing in the hail channel. Worked fine about a week ago.

They now reply in the hail channel. I don't know if it's intentional, but I preferred the old way, personally.

They only do in-system as I said. Hail channel is limited to your current system. There's currently no way to open a channel to a ship that is in another system.
and now after the last update their replies don't even appear onscreen anymore. Actually now ship don't reply at all in any channel.

Not even an automated reply from ships without an NPC officer.

As far as I can tell, the ship you're on/berthed on will reply on the fleet channel and open a private channel too. All other ships reply on the hail channel without opening anything. You can open a private channel to them manually, of course.
This does not really seem like intended behaviour, but it is at least useable now.

No, that's not right.
I have 4 ships reporting in the mail, but only one replying to fleet hails.

I can only say what I have observed. It seems to affect people differently.
The ship I am berthed aboard always replies with a private channel (tested with different ships); every other officered ship in my fleet now replies successfully, but on the hail channel at universe range rather than on the fleet channel.

Yes, that's the same observation I have.

Also in-system ships always replied in hail channel, but did not open a channel when u hailed them in hail channel, unlike stations. I have about 25 ships I think, in different systems. They do not reply in any channel, but their replies do appear on screen again, but not in the fleet channel itself. It's also weird that it's still broken after 2 weeks. Is Haxus aware of the problem at all? Either he doesn't know or it is intentional. |
