1 Galaxy, 2 Galaxy, 3 Galaxy, 20 Galaxy!

So there seems to be some contention relating to how many galaxies there are in the Hazeron universe. I've seen some of the arguments, and there's some merit to be had.

My main concern would be, how far players will be spread (especially considering the current # of active players), and how much extra the additional galaxies are costing in server space (maybe hire an employee instead???).

In a civil and clear manor, I would ask that other players with arguments or counter-arguments express them here.

In terms of server resources, 20 galaxies is just a disk space used to describe them. What actually using server resources is active processes happening in them. Which means, players doing stuff. Directly or indirectly.

Well this "debate" is at least 6 years old. I don't see the point of bringing it back again since Haxus doesn't listen.

In my opinion, 20 galaxies does nothing but give a place for griefers to hide and spreads out the already small playerbase, leading to very little pvp/interesting diplomacy compared to the start of U5 and before. We saw how the same thing happened at the end of U4, the game became quiet with no conflict, and eventually shut down.

I personally don't see the reason for there to be 20 galaxies, I think we should just go back to U3 with one big galaxy.

As it stands right now, multiple galaxies doesn't really have a purpose. It is too big an advantage to collect some preons in the main galaxy, travel to a far off galaxy to hide and then simply use star gates to raid the main galaxy.

There is simply no risk verse reward involved with the other galaxies. It might get a little better once all the pirate factions are implemented, and pirates are made more involved in general, but until then there is no reason to have the other galaxies.

A simple solution would be just to remove the intergalactic wormholes until there is a reason to have them.
