How do I fix my cryozine?

There is no workaround you can do on your own. But you can receive a better patent from another empire.

Also note that the quality of the resource doesn't limit you too much, it just means that spacecraft systems using it will be worse.

In the meantime put those harvester ships to use?

Harvesters were changed to use the empire's patent.

Harvester should harvest the Q of resources on the scan report. Cryozine's station is not harvesting hydrogen Q of world atmo.

Spacecraft harvesters are now consistent with buildings, collecting the Q of the resources as shown on the scan report. When a patent is required, the patent Q acts as an upper limit to the Q of the harvested commodity.

This is STILL happening as of 4/2/2019.
In this image, a planet with Q255 magmex, failing to research.
Scan verified by using ship's harvester to gather Q255 magmex, then sold to city. was able to update smelting patent using that, however still unable to update extractor patent.

Try removing the manufacturing line and re-add it?
