I don't really care about the history lessons that much. Don't feel like I have done much to involve myself in the greater politics, mostly just been defending myself, first against Axe, HappyFew/whatever, and then you guys.

I have never suggested game changes because I was at a disadvantage in a fight or because I was too lazy to play the game. Hell I am lazy either way, that is why I haven't progressed at all in ages. My empire is just in a slow state of decay, whenever someone attacks me I lose more stuff that I don't bother to rebuild.
The changes to the technology system have been on the wishlist for years, you can just go read the "Remove TL" megathread and any other thread there have been about the technology mechanics.
Always been suggesting the changes that I think would be best for the game.

As for the current technology mechanic, they are pretty much nonexistent right now so I don't see how that is "complex". But removal of the TL/QL technology will make it easier to implement a new technology mechanic later.

I forget how "OGame" did technology, but as far as I know it was just some tech tree with resource costs. So that wouldn't really make a lot of sense for a persistent universe. Read the old "Remove TL" megathread to learn more about what we used to talk about.
