Simulation mode in the design studio results in a flickering white screen, simulation does not start.

This is noted in the 64-bit Windows client.

Correction, you appear at the center of the star without a ship. If you rotate the view a little you will notice glispes of the solar system around you.
It is likely a coordinate corruption or something, seen a similar issues a few times over the years.
