The Duchy of Helvetia was a Pre-PGW empire that was one of the founding members of The Foundation. It was decimated by the Pan Galactic War, and no longer existed after 2011. Its capital city was named "Seize", and the empire used a species called the "Three-Eyed Cloud". Additionally, the empire had 15 sectors at its height.
It was governed until its eventual fall by Duke Krauss.
Founding
The Duchy of Helvetia was founded on January 1st, 2011, making it one of the first empires of the Third Universe. Krauss, the governor of the Duchy maintained that he desired peace, trade, and collaboration with similar minded empires.
Role in the Pan Galactic War
The Duchy of Helvetia played a major part in the Pan Galactic War, as they were one of the founding fathers of The Foundation. After a Tymas Confederation vassal attacked the PTMC and Rik'Tan Hegemony the Duchy declared war on Tymas, The Borg, and the Free Shipwrights of Hazeron. The Duchy of Helvetia soon found themselves one of the last few standing in fighting the Tymas-Borg-Shipwright alliance as many Foundation members had given up fighting and their empires destroyed or abandoned.
Aftermath
The Foundation eventually dissolved during the war along with The Duchy of Helvetia. Duke Krauss abandoned the universe toward the end of the war.
