The command and control station, also known as a ''Captain's Chair'', is placed on the [[spacecraft]] [[bridge]] and functions as a central command seat, allowing an [[avatar]] to access key spacecraft systems from a single spot. So long as there is a third party ([[NPC]] or avatar) seated at the console your trying to access.

NPC [[Officer]]s will prefer to be seated at a command and control station, though this is not required for them to perform their duties.
