What is the community accepted modeling unit? - AnrDaemon - 09-11-2018 What do people use as a base unit for their models? Meters? Centimeters? Something in between? I was aiming for 10cm as it seems to be good unit for a single small ingame object. But it got me wondering. RE: What is the community accepted modeling unit? - Neils Iyssada - 09-11-2018 I use the meter when modeling on Blender (easier to make a to-scale ship this way). And usually on the editor I use 10cm too. RE: What is the community accepted modeling unit? - 5crownik007 - 09-13-2018 As an Australian, I use the metric system. I usually measure ship distances in metres or for especially big ones, ten metres. For rooms & smaller things, decimeters(10cm). I've never had to model in centimeters but I imagine if I was designing something to sit on a table then I might need to use centimeters. |
