Antiflux harvesting researchable on planet without antiflux - Raymoo - 09-09-2020 It seems like I was able to research an antiflux patent on a normal habitable planet without antiflux. The ID that appears when I open a trade channel to the university I did it at is BVBUTB-HOIOPB, if that helps. I don't think there is anything else notable about the building or world I experienced this on. The Q of the patent didn't correspond to any actually present resource on the world. RE: Antiflux harvesting researchable on planet without antiflux - Kami - 02-11-2021 In addition to this you can also refine the particles in any atmosphere once you have the patent. The quality seems to be the same as the recorded patent in my case where I researched it legitimately on a planetoid. RE: Antiflux harvesting researchable on planet without antiflux - AnrDaemon - 02-11-2021 Antiflux is only ever found in the rings. Same as preons, which are only found in the stars. See: (Update thread post) Re: 2020-04-24 Server Crashes, Vehicle Disintegration, Pilot to Planetoid, Refinery I guess this bug has existed since this was added. I wonder if the borexino precipitate refinery process is bugged in the same way too. It's a twist on the same bug. Once you research Anti-flux, for the first time. It's not possible to do so again with a higher Q. This is most likely due to what others have already posted about Anti-flux not being a requirement to conduct the research. This means that if you research Q82 Anti-flux, your stuck there forever. Until this bug is fixed, the only viable solution is a spacecraft harvesting the anti-flux. I would suggest not doing that, since it has some annoying consequences with patents. Why do you have it set to Q250 at all? Does the world you are trying to research it on have Q82 antiflux? If so it looks totally normal. And I assume you don't have Q250 computers or tesloid dissipator? RE: Antiflux harvesting researchable on planet without antiflux - Rockinsince87 - 03-28-2021 The Q250 was me doing an environmental requirement test. That output of Q82 was the result despite my setting. A Q1 limit yields the same result. The world has Q253 actually. I gathered some from my ship no issues. My tesloid disapator is actually Q251. It says I have a recorded patent of Q82, I actually have a recorded patent of Q104 in my empire, never had a Q82 this playthrough. Both Antiflux jobs have Antiflux as a time modifier on the right hand side. Its not a requirement (would have the key icon) I will do some more testing. RE: Antiflux harvesting researchable on planet without antiflux - Rockinsince87 - 03-28-2021 I would say anti-flux not being a requirement to harvest/research is what's causing this to happen. See below. A ringworld and I just researched anti-flux. Below is what it should look like, it should have that key. And that is the main issue highlighted in this thread. You are able to research antiflux on worlds that don't have antiflux in the atmosphere. The current patent manufacturing process has a time reduction because that is how all other patent manufacturing processes work. If you have the end product of the patent, you can research the patent faster. What is really missing is a requirement for antiflux to be in the atmosphere. This you can see on the cryozine and ioplasma manufacturing processes (both patents and products), they require an atmosphere condition. I am assuming that this corresponding atmosphere condition requirement just hasn't been implemented for antiflux and borexino precipitate yet. |
