i like that the designer lets you scale whatever you need whenever. pretty useful for importing stuff

Agreed! I just set mine at 1 meter and go from there. I'm just hoping that one blender unit(BU) and one Hazeron unit are the same.

Yeah, same here. But if I figure it right, your small guns look to be about 3 - 4 meters long ..that would put the Knight at about 45 - 50 meters.

..and you're right, that ship is kinda badd-ass :)

Small guns being the turrets? Or the two main guns? I'm thinking the turrets are 1-2 meters ish, but that will be finalized by the designer. My race is only going to be 1.3 meters tall, anyway.

Gotta say, am I the only one with free time to design? This took me 2 hours in blender (no breaks).

Re-intoducing the Marathon A1 planet pounder!

I am a fan of Low-Polygon models, because I like having lots of ships :D

Note the ventrally located Bridge, as opposed to dorsal or front. I plan/hope to have the gravity go a different direction in that room, so you're looking down at the planet as you sit in your chair.

Included a Pelican for scale in this shot, planning on having the Marathon carry either a transport or a pelican in the bay there, for landing troops. Experiment and figure out which works best!

Lana's making an Intrepid-ish ship blender model! Yes, the booty end is much fatter than it's supposed to be, but how the heck am I gonna fit a reasonably sized docking bay there if I don't?

Also, the nacelles are in the up position, because I always thought it was stupid that intrepids had moving nacelles.

Remember, intrepid-ish, not Intrepid.

Still gotta add turrets, sensor ring, etc. Fun stuff!

I think I should take that design philosophy to heart... I've been spending way to long designing something in blender... well not that long I guess since I'm still learning how to do things.

I've been slowly recreating the Nomad class of ships for the new designer using blender right now.

I'd post a picture of it but it's way to wide for the forums formatting :'(
