Berth Limit by Quality
The number of non officer berths in a ship design affects the Q required to build it. Someone in the game suggested that the berth quality requirement should be changed so you can get a reasonable crew at low Q.

The new calculation is:

lifeSupportQMin = (nonOfficerBerths - 5) x 13

conversely

nonOfficerBerthsMax = 5 + lifeSupportQ / 13

The division is integer truncated.

Patent Names
The names of patents and patent development processes were too long, didn't alphabetize nicely. The names of patents lost the 'Method of Making' part. The names of patent development processes were reformatted more like this, "Hydrogen, Method for Making using Air".

Players Online/AFK
A new dialog was added to show a list of the players currently on line. That dialog has a check box marked 'Away From Keyboard'. When it is checked, your icon in the list shows with a red dot next to it, instead of a green dot.

Targoss Head x 2700
Ikkir got Targoss' head. It has a count of 2700+. Each time he eats it, the count goes down by one. That's a lot of scrapple. The bug that allowed that to happen was fixed.

Blueprints
Spacecraft and building designs are now called blueprints wherever it makes sense. It is the term used in Eve for their spacecraft designs and people understand right away what a blueprint implies, even as a metaphor.

Fund Transfer Crash
Fixed a server crash that resulted from someone transferring funds.

There was a change, responsible for the crash. By right-clicking on a chat message from a city, you can now transfer funds to that city's government account. It shows up as a tax levy.

You can transfer money to a spacecraft's account the same way. That is not new.

Building Q Progression
A problem was observed in the way building Q progression worked, in that it was calculated off the time the building was built. This meant that early Q upgrades using tech items did not reduce the time necessary to reach the next Q upgrade naturally.

This was fixed but it will not be posted until the servers are restarted next. I just finished it and want to test it on the debug servers for a little while. Servers will likely be restarted in the morning to incorporate this last change.

We can send money that way? Cool!
What happens if we send money to an officer/crewman then? Or is there simply no option for that?

That should make it seem more logical.

Sad all my old TL32 buildings didn't get that head start, but whatever I guess.
AnrDaemon is the solution to the [s]Fermi Paradox[/s] Hazeron suggestion flood problem, the great suggestion filter.
