I'm also experiencing an issue where the grid divides are not 1 meter apart, or are not being shown as such. For example, a 1 meter square on the grid is shown as 0.30 units less in the co-ordinate meter. I know the main hull cube is 20 meters along the X axis, and previously the co-ordinate meter would show this when making selections that are snapped to the grid. I have ensured that the grid is set to 1m spacing, and the units of measurement are meters. This makes measuring distances very hard, even though the point selection when creating faces/extrusions shows that the grid is actually 1m square spaced.

Gentlemen, have you ever used Import feature of a new editor?
I cant import a 3ds model, nothing happens. Object list is empty. I dont get any error messages either.
Is this feature still in-dev or I should use specific export settings when saving file as 3ds?

My simple fighter has 1138 triangles(faces), is it way too much? Sphere has alot of them.

Program: Google SketchUp 2017
3ds and skp files are unallowed as attachments. :c

Update.
A simple cube didn't import either.
Will try changing different settings.

I think the import feature has only been tested with Blender files so far. A few has successfully imported some model files from that, but I don't know what file type that uses.
See: (Thread) New Designer Screenshots

I would assume .3ds files since it is kinda a standard, but I have no idea.

AnrDaemon is the solution to the [s]Fermi Paradox[/s] Hazeron suggestion flood problem, the great suggestion filter.

Thanks. Will wait until things get clearer.
Or for a Haxus response.

I know the designer will import 3ds files that have been exported from Blender. I believe that's because Haxus wrote the import script with blender in mind.

There's a post in one of his other updates that talks about this iirc.

Perhaps you could try importing to blender and re-exporting it from there?
I plan on living forever ..so far so good!
