Here is a quick status report with a few pictures.
There are approximately 75k lines of new code attributed to the new designer. That's just over 1,600 pages at 45 lines per page.
Gravity Well players will likely recognize the ships, even without textures. I admit it. I imported them from .3ds files. I designed them in Blender for Gravity Well VI. I could easily make them in the new designer.
As you can see, no real texturing is done. There's just a place holder that looks like gray stuff. I will be digging in to texturing right away on Monday.
All basic geometry creation and editing functions are finished. There are adequate features to make those ship models without too much difficulty.
