Sensors Reveal Ship Information

#1
Currently scanning a ship using sensors only nets very basic results:
  • Empire Name
  • Ship Name
  • Ship Design
  • HP
  • Shield Status
  • Quality
  • Ship's Volume
I propose that sensors also reveal the weapons on a ship and various other details which make it far more apparent if your ship is more combat prepared than the enemy ship. Things like:
  • Number and type of turrets
  • Number of crew(?)
  • DPS of turrets
  • Number of Weapon Bays
And other stuff like that, it would allow captains to gauge whether or not they want to engage a ship based on if the ship is better or worse than theirs.

DPS might be too much to ask for.
Number of armaments and number of crew would be very useful.

I was on the brink of proposing this myself. If hp can be recorded, it seems reasonable that shields should to. Perhaps the amount of information revealed should depend on the difference between the ship's sensor volume and its target's, modified by Q.

For weapons bays, number is not so important. Perhaps percentage of volume dedicated to weapons bays/turrets. You would not know overall volume, of course, and amount of armour obfuscates its proportionality to hitpoints. That would seem a reasonable compromise.
